How to protect your pets from mosquitoes
TRADITIONAL & OVER-THE-COUNTER MOSQUITO CONTROL METHODS
Mosquito Control For Dogs
Monthly treatments to prevent flies, fleas and mosquitoes from attacking your pets are available online or at most pet stores. K9 Advantix II  is a common treatment used as a mosquito repellent for dogs. Not only does it kill mosquitoes that might try to bite your dog, but it also keeps them from getting close with its full-spectrum protection.  The clear product is applied directly to your dog’s skin in various spots and it provides a full 30 days of protection. It’s very important that cats avoid any contact with K9 Advantix II, because  even though it’s a helpful mosquito repellent for dogs, it’s toxic to felines.
If you have both dogs and cats in your house, keep them separate until the product dries completely on your dog. This can take about /font> 15 minutes or so. Also, be sure the cats don’t try to groom the dog in the areas the mosquito repellent has been applied. You’ll need to  contact a veterinarian immediately if the cat ingests any of the product.
If your dog likes to swim, keep it out of water for about 48 hours. The mosquito treatment is toxic to aquatic life, too.
Mosquito Control For Cats
Cats are a bit harder to treat with traditional mosquito repellents because they are very sensitive to certain chemicals. Also, because cats tend to keep themselves very clean through self-grooming, they can easily ingest just about anything that is applied to the skin. Bayer makes Advantage II, a flea repellent for cats, but it    doesn’t protect against mosquitoes, which can carry disease and cause skin irritation. A variety of sprays and wipes are available over the counter and are safe for protecting your cats from mosquitoes.
Natural repellents that keep these monsters away
Apple Cider Vinegar
These monsters hate smell and taste of apple cider vinegar. Wash your pet with water mixed with one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar for the final wash.

Neem oil
Your pets wont lick off the neem oil because it has a strong smell and taste. It also keeps the little monsters away. Dilute it, before using.

Lemon Grass
Lemon Grass is safe to use on fur coats of your pets. They effectively kill mosquitoes, fleas and ticks.

      Procedure for making the soap

Note: Be sure to measure as accurately as possible here!
Steps 1: Create a lye solution. Measure out 212 grams of dry lye into a container. Now measure out your distilled water. Weigh out 566.99 grams of distilled water. Finally, empty your measured lye portion into your filtered water to create the lye solution. Note: Pour your dry lye into the water and never the water into your lye. Know that a solid smoke will be available as you make your lye solution, and your lye water blend will warm up significantly.
Step 2: Next, weigh out the entirety of your oils as per the insect repellent soap formula as depicted previously. Make sure to weigh everything precisely. When each of your oils is measured, soften them down to a liquid structure. Make sure to utilize a low warmth setting.
Step 3: During the period the oils for our insect repellent soap formula dissolve and the lye arrangement keeps cooling down, we will set up  our additives. For this step, we will mix the insect repellent essential oil blend using completely authentic essential oils. In discrete dishes, measure out 46 grams of citronella essential oil, 21 grams of eucalyptus essential oil and 8 grams of tea tree essential oil. Once precisely gauged, combine them all into one holder.
Step 4: After the oils have melted down completely. Move the oils mixture and, if necessary, your lye solution in a sink filled with ice water to cool them down.
Step 5: At this step, your additives are prepared to be integrated into your insect repellent soap recipe, and your lye solution and oils mixture have been cooled. Carefully empty your lye solution into your melted soapmaking oils while stirring manually with a heat and chemical safe mixing utensil. Keep mixing manually until your batch has an even color and texture. Now empty in your pre-measured essential oils and stir them until you once again reach an even color and texture.
Step 6: Empty your completed soap into your Soap Mold. Allow your soap to set in the mold for almost a day or then again until  it sufficiently solidifies. When solid, empty your portion of soap from the mould.
Step 7: Next, slice your log of soap into bars. Move all of your soap bars on a rack to cure. It would be best to allow your bars of soap to cure for about 6 -8 weeks for great results.
Step 8: Enjoy your all-natural Mosquito and Ticks Repellent Soap           How to give your pet a wash with the soap
Once the soap bars solidify, give you cute little pet a wash! Washing pets is fun! Apply the soap gently on to their coats. Lather and rinse with warm water. Make sure the soap doesn’t get in to eyes of your pet. Once you wash them, dry them with  a towel and keep them in a dry warm place until they are dry.
